MBA In Executive Ministry Leadership Overview
The Master of Business Administration in Executive Ministry Leadership at Trinity is a graduate degree to equip persons for service in executive ministry leadership related ministries in the local church or Christian non-profit organization through advanced training in the Word of God and contemporary strategies of organizational development and business management. The MBA consists of 36 hours of study covering the areas of biblical and theological studies (12 hours), and the executive ministry leadership major (24 hours). A master’s thesis is not required.
Through core course work, students explore leading-edge and cutting-edge principles and practices across fields of knowledge such as human and organizational development, human resource management, principles of administration, conflict management, strategic planning, marketing non-profit ministry, accounting and finance for ministry, and information technology in leadership training. Through the analysis of precedent literature, case studies, and current issues and trends, students discern how to interpret and respond to contemporary theories and practices, and how to deploy their knowledge, understanding, and skills to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow in executive ministry context.
In addition to the business related studies, students will also learn principles of biblical interpretation, the history of the Old Testament, the theology of the New Testament, and study the life and letters of the apostle Paul. These biblical and theological studies will help students analyze the appropriateness of the application of business principles in executive ministry context.
